Brady Corporation is an established client of TMS Search & Selection so when they approached us to help them find a Strategic Account Manager (Defence & Aerospace) we were more than happy to help. This was a key appointment for them as they were moving into a new sector and needed to make sure they secured the right person.

Key requirements:
• Extensive B2B sales and senior account management experience
• Track record of European & International market development
• Background in dealing with the Defence, Aerospace & Military sectors
• European language skills would be a significant advantage
• Home based with the ability to develop UK & European markets
• Relationship builder at all levels and a background of dealing with Global organisations

Challenges:
• Limited external candidate pool with the required expertise of European / International Defence & Aerospace markets.
• Requirement to secure a candidate shortlist with the experience and diversity, especially in relation to knowledge and location.
• Recognition that the internal candidate pool lacked the experience to step into this position but a need to be sensitive and discreet without potentially alienating existing staff who had expressed an interest in the role.

Approach:
• Proactive research, networking and referrals allowed us to establish the appropriate candidate network and as a result increased the potential candidate pool.
• By working closely with senior stakeholders across the EMEA region, we were able to understand and communicate the company culture & role requirements
