TMS Search & Selection is now regarded by Ipswich Building Society as a strategic partner so we were delighted to be instructed to work on a senior management appointment – Head of Mortgage Sales.
Working closely with the General Manager Sales, this appointment was considered pivotal to the Society’s future success as it would be responsible for the delivering the entire mortgage target!

Key requirements:
• Experience within the intermediary mortgage sales market
• Professional qualification & degree
• Develop & implement the corporate lending and retail funding strategies
• Manage the Direct and Intermediary Mortgage Sales Teams
• Deliver sales plan to achieve corporate lending target
• Manager effective relations with Corporate Mortgage Partners
• Lead the mortgage product development including the mortgage distribution strategy

Challenges:
• Because of the various different requirements of the role (location, experience, qualifications, etc.) the external candidate pool was going to be limited
• Due to increased business targets and corporate governance the role needed to be filled as soon as possible

Approach:
• TMS Search & Selection mapped the market to identify experienced individuals capable of fulfilling the role before conducting proactive headhunting to maximise our exposure to the right candidates
• Utilisation of sector & social networks and knowledge to identify and target relevant individuals within the industry with appropriate skills and experience
