We are working with them to hire a truly exceptional Regional Key Account Manager (Central & South East Region) for their People Identification business in the UK.

 

BUSINESS SUMMARY

They offer the widest range of people identification products available on the market: wristbands, badges, lanyards, badge holders, etc. Their products are everywhere from Retail companies (Tesco, B&Q, Santander, M&S, etc), Amusement & Water Parks, Events, Conferences & Trade Shows and many more. Their manufacturing facilities are located in the United Kingdom, Belgium, the United States, Mexico, and China.

 

ROLE PURPOSE

To identify and develop new business while managing and building existing accounts across all industries within (but not excluded to) a given territory, with a particular focus on gaining large project’s and ongoing business with the UK’s largest customers our broad range of products. We empower and support our colleagues to make decisions for growing the business in order to achieve the company’s agreed annual sales, margin and budget expectations.

 

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage both existing and prospective clients in line with the business development strategy to identify new opportunities, increase sales through expanding product range purchase, develop relationships with existing and new contacts
  • Engage with all types of contacts from shop floor to senior managers to arrange appointments with decision makers/influencers to specify and secure business
  • Visit potential customers to identify opportunities and develop these into sales
  • Provide Field sales support for National accounts
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline of account opportunities in line with sales targets
  • Provide feedback from clients and competitors to input into account development strategy
  • Handle objections by clarifying, emphasising agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion. Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately
  • Plan approaches and pitches – Work with sales and marketing to develop proposals that speak to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives
  • Participate in pricing the product solution/service
  • Submit monthly progress reports and ensure data is accurate. Build and manage a robust pipeline of key account opportunities in line with sales targets
  • Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company’s CRM or other sales management system
  • Accurately forecast sales
  • Produce a plan and manage your own schedule to ensure Key Performance Indicators are met
  • Provide time-phased, qualified reports on achievement and activities

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or other discipline or equivalent would be advantageous
  • Experience of contract/terms negotiation
  • Ideally 3/5 years of sales Business to Business (B-2-B) sales experience in a field sales role with a track record of meeting or exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas
  • Must be proficient in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) email programs (such as Gmail) and CRM

Reporting to the UK Sales Manager (PID)

ORGANISATION STRUCTURE & REPORTING LINES

  • Role is home based with extensive travel and could require regular time spent in both the London (Sales) and Suffolk (Operations) offices
