Role: Interim Group Financial Controller – Maternity Cover

OVERVIEW:
My client is a market-leading manufacturer and supplier of environmental protection and safety products for fluid transfer operations within the Oil and Gas industry. Their world class products have become an industry standard with a reputation for quality and reliability.

You will need several years industry experience at a similar level and be able to illustrate experience within an interim financial controller role.
ROLE PURPOSE:
This is a Maternity Cover position (12mths min possibly 16mths) working closely with senior management, providing financial analysis and business support, you will have a well-developed commercial awareness and be keen to take a lead role in having significant impact on business processes and decisions.
You will be able to work in a rapidly changing environment and have the interpersonal skills to influence and build relationships with a diverse group of business professionals.
SKILLS:
- ACA/ACCA or equivalent qualification
- Ability to present confidently and be comfortable when questioned
- Preferred experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP software
- Ideally previous experience of ERP integration
- Advanced user of Microsoft Suite systems, with particular emphasis on excel spreadsheets
- Ability to work with your colleagues remotely gathering data within agreed timetables
- Staff management and excellent communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a friendly atmosphere, customer focused and be part of a team
- Comfortable operating within a group reporting structure
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- With support from Finance Assistant preparation of timely monthly management account information including consolidated group reports
- Completion of the statutory consolidation and statutory accounts, including the audit process
- Completion of new ERP integration
- Quarterly rolling 12 monthly forecasting for the group
- Monthly presentations on multiple sites performance along with group performance and forecasts
- Preparing detailed variance and key performance indicators analysis
- Leading the finance function with day-to-day activities e.g. invoice processing, debt collection etc.
Specific projects:
- The Great Yarmouth site will be transitioning onto new ERP with the process already underway with a planned completion early 2023. There is a role in overseeing this process as part of the finance workflow along with training staff on the new software
- Working with other flow leads to ensure a smooth transition onto the new ERP
- Various projects may arise over the course of the role which may require input, forecasting etc.
General management:
- Provide support as part of the senior management team and across the finance functions at various sites
- Assist with the continued development of the finance function specifically in Clermont Ferrand
- Various projects/reporting in support of requirements from group function and investors including strategic planning
