Salary: £32,000 – £34,000 basic DOE, plus bonus and benefits

 

About the Company: Our client, a market-leading manufacturer and global supplier of environmental protection and safety products for fluid transfer operations in the Oil and Gas industry, is seeking a dynamic and motivated Production Controller to join their team. Renowned for their world-class products, they uphold a reputation for quality and reliability.

 

Job Purpose

Using the Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP system, the Production Controller will play a crucial role in translating customer demands into actionable shop floor instructions. This involves systematic planning and coordination of manufacturing activities to ensure the timely production of high-quality goods.

 

Key Tasks:

  • Check and process sales orders, run MRP, and distribute manufacturing orders (MOs) and shop floor documentation to stores/team leaders for all manufactured items.
  • Collaborate with production team leaders to confirm processes and lead times required for product manufacturing, accurately entering information in D365.
  • Raise MOs for stock items or batch production as needed.
  • Provide sales with lead time estimates and promise dates for various products.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for order status queries from the sales department.
  • Liaise with the purchasing team to ensure materials are available to support production plans.
  • Respond to production-based queries from the shop floor.
  • Attend daily production meetings and address any production control requirements.
  • Undertake any reasonable tasks required, with sufficient training and instruction.

 

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Production Controller or in a similar role.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP or similar ERP software is preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of engineering processes and drawings, demonstrating a keen eye for detail.
  • Proactive attitude to drive the development of new ideas, streamlining operations, and removing inefficiencies from current system processes.
